Devin turns 5!!!!!
This what Mariah gave Devin for his birthday.
Ninja Turtle Cake
Devin's birthday was a on a Sunday this year and all he wanted for his birthday was to do a pinata. So this is it.
This is new hulk costume that Grandma got him for his birthday!
March 2014
Emily class did fieldwork with their reading buddies at the Hogle Zoo. Her reading buddy this year was Sophie. They were so excited to be together. It was a fun day. Got some cute pictures of the girls.
Mariah did Emily's hair that day. I had to take a picture of it because it turned out amazing.
Riley's Birthday 2014
Riley turned 15 this year. As I mentioned before this has been the year of One Direction (a boy band) so most of her presents revolved around that. She did have a few friends over to celebrate.
Riley with Annika, Makenzee, Mikayla
Riley with her cardboard cutout of Liam that Emily gave her for her birthday.
Febuary 2014
Valentine's Dance at Promontory. Here is Mariah with Kylie and Callie. I didn't take any pictures during the dance because I didn't want to be THAT mom even though I did stay to chaperone.

Riley with Russell!!!!! For years Riley has been waiting to take the teen living class at the middle school. In the class you learn what it would be like to be a parent. When I was in school I had a egg baby I had to take care of. Riley has been so excited to have one of these babies. They really breathe, cry, eat a bottle and need to be changed. Her time finally came and she got to keep Russell for 3 days. He had his little carseat and she had to take him back and forth to school. Childcare was provided in teen living class during school hours (really they just deactivate it). But it was on and ready for her to take care when she got home from school and all night. It didn't take long, maybe an hour, before she realized that it was not going to as fun as she had envisioned. The baby cries really loud. And both nights she didn't get much sleep. She said the second night he was up 11 times. By the time the 3 days were over she couldn't wait to get rid of him. The baby has a sensor inside and she had to wear a wrist band that you would scan on the baby when you changed it and it kept track of when you feed it. It also keeps track of how you stabilize the baby's head. Come to find out she failed the assignment. Too many head drops. If she wanted to make up the assignment she could take the baby again or watch a real infant for 3 hours. She asked Natalie about watching Cole. We had to laugh when she talked about it because she had failed the assignment for not being careful with the baby's head and asking if she can watch a real baby to get a better grade. A little scary.
January 2014
For Mariah's celebration of learning they made a documentary about the desert. They used the pictures and videos they took on their camping trips to Southern Utah. Mariah was the script advisor for the documentary. They presented it at the Bird Refuge theater and had displays for their work. Here are pictures of their story boards.
We took these pictures because Emily seems to resemble Riley more and more much to her displeasure. She hates to be compared to her but when you look at the pictures you can't deny the evidence.
Emily's Birthday 2014
11 years old! Notice the cute little llama pinata hanging by her head.
That is a little rock in box under him not a llama poop.
It was the year of Lego friends. That is what she got for her birthday and Christmas.
I had to include all of these selfies she took. They made us laugh.
Love this girl!
Christmas 2013
Christmas Morning!!
In all the excitement Christmas morning I only took a few pictures. Here is Mariah with her new phone.
This isn't a great picture (sorry, Riley!), but she was crying......opening up her present to realize that she had a ticket to the One Direction concert in Phoniex for September. Two of her good friend also got one. Road trip here we come!
This is what Devin got me for Christmas. It is not a very flattering picture of me but he was soooo excited and we had had to have a battle first thing.
