First Day of School

Every year goes by faster than the last. Look at how old the girls are. Riley and Mariah are both going to the Intermediate school this year. Old enough to have lockers, choir, P.E. Riley is in 7th grade this year. Mariah is starting 6th grade. And Emily is in Mrs. Nielsen's 3rd grade class. We are so excited to have her as Emily's teacher. And Devin? He is just happy to go whereever the girls go. He just adores them!

5K

Justin's work hosted a Family Fitness Day. They had a 5K run, a 1 mile fun run, breakfast, and boths. Justin, Mariah, and I all ran the 5K. It was Mariah's first time running a 5k. She took 2nd in her age division. Emily did the 1 mile run and she finished 4 overall. We were sure proud of the girls. Me? I was just happy I wasn't last!

Mariah's Birthday

Mariah turned 11 this year. Jeramy, Erin and the girls were here. So on her birthday we had all the family come over. She had lots of help blowing out her candles. Here are some pictures of cousins!

Messy Faces

Devin's first time this year roasting marshmallows. All he wanted to do was watch the marshmallow burn. Cupcake store in Logan. Nutella on toast for breakfast.

A Bad Combination

My girls are learning to crochet. You know what is not a good combination with yarn. Devin. Last night he got their yarn and hooks and throughly entertained himself I like how the yarn is hooked over his ear. Notice his cars are tangled up in the mess. Actually it is a safety hazard. I had to talk to Riley about not leaving her yarn unattended so he doesn't get all wound up in it. Now Riley has a huge ball of knots!

The Big One 0!

Mariah turned 10 on Friday! We had quite the busy weekend celebrating. She had a campout in the backyard with a few of her closet friends. They had a fun time playing games, decorating the tent, and hardly sleeping at all. Justin was amazed at how much breakfast girls can eat. We also had family over to celebrate with pizza, cake and ice cream. I think she had a good day (or weekend)! This is her smore birthday cake! The funniest part for the kids was using the blowtorch to toast the marshmallows on top.

Living on a Houseboat

Justin took Riley and Mariah to Flaming Gorge. They got to stay on a houseboat with his dad, Tim and his dad's family. The girls had a great time. Here are some pictures (some are Tim's pictures) of their trip.
