What a View!

We get the most amazing rainbows where we live. They are always right across the mountain and you can see the entire rainbow. I had never seen a full rainbow before we moved here. It is just another thing I like about where we live.

We Shaved the Baby's Head!

I think the title pretty much says it all. I just have to say if you look at pictures of Devin when he was first born he had so much hair. His head has been growing and his hair thinning. It kept getting more sparse on top and you could see a distinct line where he was losing hair. People were starting to make comments and we decided it was time to take action. Luckily he is a boy and we can cut his hair without feeling bad about it. This is before. He actually really liked it. He didn't cry at all and he smiled a lot while we were doing his hair. Now Justin and Devin have matching haircuts.

Fun With Cousins

As you might remember from a previous post Devin just met his uncle Jeramy for the first time a few weeks ago. Erin and the girls just came for a visit last week. My girls were so excited to see them. They love Erin so much and have such a good time with Scout and Eden. Here are some pictures from our time together. My caption for this picture would be "The Three Amigos". All of these darling girls are child number 2 in their family and the most stubborn, strong-willed, and frustrating children I know. I say that with extreme love. Eden, Lily, and Mariah all have similar personalities and I know that Grandpa Martin is very amused by each one of them. Mariah and Eden. They almost look like they could be sisters. Scout with Devin. Eden with Devin (excuse the red eyes but the picture was so cute). Eden loved Devin and really enjoyed holding him. We had a great time seeing you and can't wait until next time.

Girls Night Out

One of my best friends, Jamie, is here visiting from Pennsylvania. We decided that when she came we wanted to do a girls night out and do dinner and spend the night away without the kids. Kristin came down from Pocatello to join us. We went to dinner and spent the night in Park City. Gil had arranged getting us a condo where he has been working. Heather Brooks Garcia just joined us for dinner. She had been out of town the week previously and could not take any more time off of work. We had such a great time. Kristin brought some scrapbooks and we looked at old pictures from high school. She had pictures of many of our sleepovers and our trip to Yellowstone. We had many laughs and stayed up until almost 4:30 in the morning. The comment was made several times what good friends we have all been that even after more than 15 years we can still together and feel totally comfortable with each other. I was very blessed to have such wonderful friends in high school. There was a group of about 15 of us that we very close and I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. And through the years we have continued to stay in touch and I still consider them all some of my best friends. Sheree, Nicole, January we did miss you all. We talked about doing a girls weekend and meet somewhere in the middle to all get together. I know we have talked about doing it before but I think people are ready to actually make some plans. Heather is expecting baby number 5 in January so we were thinking some time after next year. I have the best friends!

A Little Help, Please!

I was busy in the kitchen shelling peas the other day and I needed help entertaining Devin. So I asked the girls to keep him company. I was sitting in the same room with them and watching how they would keep him happy. This is what they came up with. I will say he was happy. But the poor little guy! Three older sisters!
