Father's Day

This year for Father's day we got Justin a private fly fishing lesson. I got to go with him and fish too. We got to go up to Sportman's Paradise and fish the streams up there. Justin was able to get a ton of instruction and got even more fish. He caught a 4 pound brown trout. He said it was the best Father's day gift he has ever gotten. Now what do we do next year?

Ruth Lake

One of our favorite places to go is up in the Unitahs near Mirror Lake. Every year we usually go up and camp at Butterfly Lake. We were not able to make a big camping trip up there but we did take a day trip to do some fishing. We invited Justin's mom and dad and Tim to go with us. We hiked up to Ruth Lake. It is not quite a mile up to the lake. The day was kind of a bust fishing, but I would go up there just for the hike, scenery and wildflowers. We have pictures of all of our kids as babies on the hike up to Ruth Lake. So I glad we got some of Devin. He had a great time playing in the dirt, petting the fish, and flipping rocks at Tim. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday.
